Firstly, when job seekers arrive at 10.30am they will receive a quality welcome. Community time is first; this is a time for refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere, a chance to mingle and know they are not alone in their struggles.
Between 11am – 11.45am is when the business of club begins starting with a relevant ‘Steps to Employment’ video and a structured interactive time for the job seekers and the team.
Then the Job Club becomes dual purpose with some jobseekers looking for employment on the netbooks provided, or writing CVs or preparing covering letters (with support) while others have one to one coaching sessions.
The Job Club finishes at 12.30pm.

Your local CAP Job Club is a friendly place where you will get practical help as you seek employment. It’s a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support and gain the tools you need to find work.
How do I know a CAP Job Club is for me?

If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these, and you would like the support of a dedicated job club coach to help you find work, then a CAP Job Club is for you. Whether you’ve been unemployed for a short time, several years or you are yet to enter the world of work, we will help you to create a plan that works.
Does it cost anything?
No. Our service is completely free. We are able to provide a totally free service because CAP is a charity and receives donations from churches and individuals who want to help people.
How will a CAP Job Club be different to other things I’ve been to?
All of our CAP Job Clubs are run by trained volunteers who understand the challenges you are facing when looking for work, and who really want you to succeed. You will not only have group support but your CAP Job Club Coach will spend time helping you achieve your personal goals.
Is CAP just for Christians?
No. CAP will help anyone regardless of their religious beliefs. We monitor our services to ensure that everybody receives the same caring service regardless of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability.
